
Wendy Nottoli President,
M.A., CCC, BCABA
Wendy lives a busy, productive life working with her patients and their families, enjoying the company of her wonderful husband and keeping herself healthy and fit. Wendy is a Certified Speech-Language Pathologist, and Board Certified Associate behavior Analyst. She is advanced trained in the PROMPT technique and certified through TALK TOOLS as an oral motor therapist. Wendy is SOS trained, a program designed to work with feeding challenges. She is certified as a HANEN leader for: It Takes Two to Talk; More than Words; and Learning Language and Loving It. This allows Wendy to provide training to parents and professionals using these programs. Wendy is a certified specialist for The Listening Program; Interactive Metronome and Fast ForWord. When she is not at the Center you will find her running or working out, watching tennis with her husband, reading a good book or creating new ways to serve her patients.

Neyda Ketchum Bi-Lingual Speech-Language Pathologist, M. Ed. CCC
Neyda keeps very busy with her three daughters and her husband when she is not busy creating new ideas to assist her patients. Neyda and her family spend time at the beach as often as possible. Neyda and her husband can be found enjoying a night out at the movies.

Manager
Joanne has joined our staff as our office manager. Joanne enjoys her new position and the challenges it presents. When she is not at the Center, Joanne enjoys spending time with her children cheering them on to victory in all their sports activity involvement.

Eva Aguilu, M.A., CCC Speech and Language Pathologist
Eva was interning with us at the center in winter of 2004. Once she graduated from UCF she came on board full time as one of our Speech and Language Pathologists. She is a talented therapist who loves working with children. She currently participates with the social skills group that occurs in the summer months. Eva teaches the children conversation skills, how to interact with peers, problem solving and dealing with feelings. Eva also oversees the Next Step Program which is a language-pragmatic stimulation program designed to enhance speech,language and communication development in a natural, supportive environment. She has continued her studies and is certified in administration of The Listening Program and is pursuing her certification in the area of PROMPT.

Vanessa Bolaños Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst
Vanessa received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Florida International University and has been a Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst for six years. She has worked with most populations providing behavioral services to those in need, however, specializes in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She has experience in direct ABA therapy as well as supervision and behavior program development. Vanessa comes to KSLC with experience in mental health and management skills, as she previously managed a state mental health residential program. On her leisure time she enjoys reading a good book, a nice day at the beach, boating, dining at restaurants, spending time with her family and friends.

Megan Hughes-Diaz, BCABA Board Certified Behavioral Analyst
Megan is a fun spirited person who enjoys working with children. Megan has a bachelors degree in pyschology and has become a board certified behavioral analyst. During her spare time, Megan enjoys dancing, boating with her husband and eating out at new restuarants.

Jillian Mehler, MT-BC, NMT Music Therapist
Jillian received a Bachelors Degree in Music Therapy from Charleston
Southern University. She later pursued certification in Neurologic Music
Therapy through Colorado State University. Prior to working at Kendall
Speech and Language Center, Jillian trained in Verbal Behavior therapy. Her
therapy approach includes behavioral, sensory integration, and neurological
implementations through music. During her spare time, Jillian enjoys
playing violin in a community orchestra, serving in her church, and spending
time with her family.

Cristina Ortega, M.S., CCC-SLP Speech and Language Pathologist
Cristi is a PROMPT-trained speech and language pathologist. She truly enjoys working with children and is passionate about her work in the areas of oral-motor and feeding therapy. Cristi is also SOS-trained and a certified HANEN leader for It Takes Two to Talk. In her free time, Cristi takes pleasure in reading, practicing yoga, travelling, but mostly spending time with her husband and two children.

Debbie Ramirez, M.S. Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist
Debbie received her Bachelors Degree from the University of Florida and completed her Masters Degree at Florida International University in Speech-Language Pathology. She began working at Kendall Speech and Language Center in January of 2003. Some of her favorite things to do are photography, boating and spending time with her dogs, Moti and Ashes.

Anna Sherry, M.S. Certified Speech-Language Pathologist
Anna started her career in 1997 working at the Kendall Speech and Language Center, Inc. as a trained Technician working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. After a year Anna decided to focus on speech and language development as her chosen career. She earned the position as a Speech-Language Assistant at our Center in 1998. Anna then went on to earn her masters degree in speech-language pathology and finished her training in New York City. Anna is living on Miami Beach with her husband. She is enjoying her position at our Center as a Certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Anna enjoys teaching children social skills to assist children in their social settings. She participates in social skills group that meets in the summer months. Anna teaches the children school-related skills, friendship making skills, and dealing with feelings. Anna also developed the Little Step/Big Rewards program that is offered at KSLC. This program is for children functioning between the ages of 2 and a half and 4 years of age. This program is designed to facilitate emergent literacy,language development, social interactioan and phonemic awareness. Our objective is to include song time, story time, art time, and music time around a thematic unit to provide the children a means of learning through meaningful activities.

Saenya Simms Program Supervisor
Saenya graduated from Florida International University with her Bachelors Degree in the Spring of 2002.
She has studied Behavior Analysis and is trained in Picture Exchange Communication System. As Program Supervisor of the First Step, HAP and Special Step programs, Saenya oversees and mentors our Technicians. She is a compassionate, dedicated young lady who knows how to move the children! Saenya is training in the Interactive Metronome (IM) Program which helps individuals improve their ability to focus, attend and concentrate for extended periods of time.

Valerie Tablada, B.A. Academic Instructor
Valerie is a recent graduate of Florida International University. She is
currently working towards her Educational Specialists degree in School
Psychology. She enjoys co-teaching with Shannon in the Next Step program
and Maria in the Step Up program at KSLC. She loves working with children,
and wants them to have fun while learning!

Roxanna Trimble Occupational Therapist
Roxanna Trimble is our Occupational Therapist who earned her bachelors degree from Barry University. She has worked with children of a variety of ages and populations. She has experience with children with all types of challenges from cerebral palsy to autism spectrum. Her experience includes, hippo therapy, intensive suit therapy, sensory integration, aquatic therapy, cranial sacral therapy as well as a variety of handwriting programs. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her two sons and family, crafting and reading.

Mary Valentini Scheduler
Mary came to Kendall Speech and Language Center, Inc. in 1995. She handles the Screening Program provided to many private schools in the Miami area. She also coordinates schedules for the therapists in our office. Mary and her three sons enjoy baseball and cooking! She enjoys searching for antiques and working on flower arrangements.

Caroline Vartzbedian Front Office Receptionist
Caroline Vartzbedian joined our center in March 2006 as a front desk
employee. She enjoys working on the computer. One of her most treasurable
moments are when the job gets done to the satisfaction and liking of her
superiors or colleguages at the Office.
Wife and mother of 2 boys, Carol loves playing basketball, tennis and
taking long walks whenever she gets a chance.

Christie Vitiello Speech-Language Pathologist
Christie comes to our center from Chicago and now lives with her husband in Coconut Grove. She received her Bachelors Degree from Indiana University and completed her Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Rush University. She is excited to be working with children and doing what she loves. In her spare time, Christie enjoys being outside, reading a good book, and spending time with family and friends.

Fran has been working at our Center for approximately ten years. Fran enjoys watching the children learn to communicate in part because of his dedication and spirit. When Fran is not at the Center, he is busy with his labradors and just enjoying life!

Mariadolores Wood Academic Instructor
Maria is an energetic young woman! She takes great pride in working with
children to help them bring out their full potential. She is currently
working towards her degrees in Exceptional Student Education and Education
Administration. Maria does Academic Tutoring with our First Step Program
in the mornings, works long side Valerie in KSLC’s afternoon Step Up
program and tutors older children in the afternoons – and enjoys every
minute.
