The EAROBICS program is a computer-based program designed to stimulate your child's interest while s/he is learning. The program systematically teaches critical phonological
awareness, auditory processing and introductory phonic skills that are required for learning to read and spell.
The EAROBICS Step 1 is designed for children who are developmentally between 4 to 7 years of age. This program helps your child learn and practice how to recognize sounds, blend sounds into syllables, recognize rhyming patterns and discriminate between sounds. Additionally, understanding the meanings of words and following spoken directions is taught and practiced. The EAROBICS Step 2 is for children who are developmentally between 7 to 10 years of age. This version of the program helps your child learn how to follow increasingly complex directions while tuning out background distractions. The program helps your child learn to sound out words, blend sounds to syllables and syllables to words, and identify target sounds in words. Being able to recognize printed words and understanding the meaning is practiced.
EAROBICS is used by our teaching staff to help train your child in a fun and constructive way. Every child develops at various rates. Most children show significant skill improvement from
working with the EAROBICS program three-times per week. The EAROBICS sessions are scheduled with our specially trained staff and followed up with one-to-one review of specific areas that your
child may need additional assistance.
The EAROBICS program helps to build better readers!
