HAP stands for Home-After Program. HAP is designed to integrate generalization of information and communication learned during the FIRST STEP program to other environments where child lives and plays. Home programs are designed to assist your child in practicing and generalizing his newly learned communication skills to his environment. A trained TECHnician is assigned to work with your child in your home.

What are the goals of HAP?

HAP provides your child with a "real-life" opportunity to use the skills he has acquired during his structured therapy sessions. Our goal is to have your child use the newly acquired communication skills with you at home. Your child needs the opportunity to practice these skills so that they will occur spontaneously. HAP provides that opportunity!
