It Takes Two To Talk - The Hanen Program is for Parents of Children with Language Delays. In this family-focused program, parents learn to interact and communicate with their child during everyday activities and routines in ways that promote social communication and language learning.

The IT TAKES TWO TO TALK program teaches parents of speech/language-delayed children how to maximize language-learning opportunities in everyday situations, thus becoming their child's best facilitator now - and in years to come.

The program teaches important conversational strategies which encourages the young child to interact with others through enjoyable activities that can help them become effective, confident communicators.

The combinations of group learning during evening session plus individual video-taped parent/child interaction sessions, allows parents to formulate an action plan while practicing these strategies under the guidance of a HANEN certified Speech-Language Pathologist. The program also afford participants opportunities to share ideas, issues and concerns with other parents.
